I painted this for the "Room With A View" EBSQ Plus Show. I checked everyday to see when the show would end - and it never did. The view out my back window onto the patio reveals a hole I made in the privacy fence. We live next door to my parents and they want their "other grandchild" - our beagle Nonny - to come over and visit. Our windows are not so pretty; black, metal and they sweat in the winter. The view is even less pretty unless my sweet dog is standing between our house and theirs, trying to decide to go back for more "cookies" (milk bones) or come back home and see what's going on. Sometimes she has a hard time deciding where the greener grass is. I've chosen oil on canvas in a realistic style because it is my favorite way to paint.
