Art: When Blue Eyes Are Bluer by Artist Erika Nelson
For my second piece, I ripped off yet another talented artist Kelli Dubay (Ebay username fineartandphoto). If I mention drastic close up of eyes and faces on big canvas, I believe most of you would know whose art I am speaking of, right?

Her approach to art is very confrontational and demands attention, not to mention that it invokes emotions. Sometimes Kel also handwrites messages that can also have me rolling in the aisles!

For my piece, I have borrowed her brazen outlook on people and opinion. I wanted to express my anger toward parents who hit their children; these little people they sometimes profess to love.

The hands that most of us know as "loving hands" that gently wiped our tears or fed us sweet things, are known to some poor helpless children as hands that slap them and beat them.

One time a child told me, "Mommy's rings hurt me whenever she slaps me." And one time I saw a pretty little girl with the bluest eyes I had ever seen. But I realized they were stunningly blue because her eyes were contrasted against the white of her eyes that were so red from crying.

Thanks Kelli Kel for letting me rip you off! xoxox e.
