This is my 2007 RIP of Shelly Bedsaul's "Sunflowers and Earl Grey". It is said of her work that "color and defined spaces are the uniting factors in her work"...I feel the same could be said of my art so I knew it would be a good fit! It was really difficult to choose which one of her wonderful pieces to rip but settled on one that I thought would welcome the addition of a cat...for me a painting just isn't finished if it has no cat in it! I painted this piece in acrylics on a stretched canvas and finished it with a satin varnish to protect and enhance the vibrant colors.
