My rip of BrookeE's "Death from Above." I have to say, this was challenging for me. I love Brooke's approach to illustrationist art. Anyone who knows me knows I have a, shall we say "darker" sense of humour. So this piece was a no brainer for me. But to translate it into something that speaks of my humour and style while trying to stay true to her vision in some way was a bit difficult. A melding of my more classical styles with Brooke's illustrationist approach. Subtle tones of background and fore, with bold lines and colours. It was challenging,but, I do love the results. It makes me smile every time I look at it.
