The latest in my food series. For this painting I began by covering the entire canvas with torn pieces of newpaper. I then put down a light layer of white gesso. Then I came in with layers and layers of rich, luminous paint. The finished painting absolutely glows with color and life. The newspaper gives the canvas a smoother finish making the painting look very contemporary.
