For the theme "MUSICAL INSTRUMENT IN ART" February 2005. Piano lessons were a natural part of our early education. My mother's piano, now mine, is more than just a decorative piece of furniture. Never became very accomplished, but still play for my own pleasure and amusement. In this assemblage - I really don't know what to classify this piece as - I made the piano which is a replica of a piano from my collection of my mother's doll house furniture from the 30's. It was made years ago for a diorama which never materialized. When I saw the theme for this month, thought it just right for this. The word "PIANO" is freehand lettered on old piano ivories. Used a crackle medium and glaze to give an overall aged effect. Ready to hang. Available.
