The inspiration for Miz P is the funny-face vintage Halloween decorations of my childhood - they were great, weren't they? Miz P holds many surprises and candy for ALL children everywhere pours out of the Magic Door in her side ;) Little curious eyes peek out at you from all sides of her frame ;) (TM Annie M!) Most of the work I do is based on future stories or books for children that I plan to illustrate or write someday. Once you've had one children's book published, it gets in your blood and you're forever craving MORE :) All lettering on Miz P is applied RIGHT TO THE PAINTING by ME by hand with my fancy capitals and in waterproof India ink. The verses on the right side are copyrighted to the artist (also the painting and frame are copyrighted material). Miz P is done with watercolors, watercolor dyes, India ink and pencil using all ARCHIVAL acid-free materials and only the finest synthetic non-fur Blick brushes. Her beautiful FRAME is painted with acrylics and India ink in my original pumpkin and pumpkin leaf designs and *4* COATS of glass varnish have been applied to the frame to make it super-SHINEY for you. I'm not sure whether people like my paintings best or my frames, but every time I do a hand-painted frame, I only get to own them for a few DAYS, ha ha!
