To find the inspiration for this piece, I asked my dear husband Michael to share his thoughts on jazz, after all he listens to music every waking moment of day. Here is what he said. "Jazz is a colorful style of music, pure and spontaneous. It is a movement that has never, and never will have boundaries. Each musician has his own style and rhythm, yet his real talent derives from his ability to change its color and mood to compliment others. The brotherhood of players is however colorless, and the word "race" has no meaning."
