Prospectus

li·chen /lahy-kuh n/
–noun
1. any complex organism of the group Lichenes, composed of a fungus in symbiotic union with an alga and having a greenish, gray, yellow, brown, or blackish thallus that grows in leaflike, crustlike, or branching forms on rocks, trees, etc.

moss /maws, mos/
–noun
1. any tiny, leafy-stemmed, flowerless plant of the class Musci, reproducing by spores and growing in tufts, sods, or mats on moist ground, tree trunks, rocks, etc.

A lovely sounding pair. The words used to describe lichen and moss may not be the most inspiring, but the organisms that these words describe certainly can be. This is a rather simply show in concept - depict lichen and/or moss though art. This is not a media specific show. Any and all media are welcome.

A statement detailing the materials, process, and what made you choose create what you did is required. Should you know anything about the lichen or moss in your entry, please feel free to include it in your statement. Remember, your statement increases understanding of your work, significantly enhances the experience for the viewer and is an important part of your entry. As texture or other small elements may be pivotal to the piece, detail shots are encouraged. All points of the prospectus should be met. If you have any questions regarding the prospectus and its requirements, please send them to edu@ebsqart.com.
