Originally intended for the 2009 EBSQ Portrait Swap, my portrait of EBSQ's fabulous Kris Jean. Since she decided to portray me and my tattoo sleeves, I decided to depict her as a tattoo portrait artist might. I started with a gessoed wood panel and did a flesh-colored base coat of acrylic paint. I then painted a portrait of Kris Jean in black and grey as a tattoo artist might, using Occhuzzie Graphite in oil. I decided to pair her with an Old School tattoo, a Sailor Jerry rose, and a banner with her name. Hope you like it Kris! I so enjoyed painting you!
