I created this portrait of Heather Sims' beautiful Collie, Gumbo, for the Pet Portrait Swap show back in July (or was it August?). A few years ago I had painted Heather's late collie Duncan, and this was intended as a companion piece to that painting.

Heather was all about her chicks and chickens this year, and she mentioned how protective Gumbo is of them so I felt one needed to be in the painting as well.
