This humorous hopper was painted in watercolor on Arches 140# cold press watercolor paper. I chose this grasshopper to show how dangerous and difficult it is to be a bug, always facing an uncertain future. I usually paint in a realistic, exacting style, so to convey this bug in a more cartoon-like, light-hearted way was a switch for me. I hope you will find it funny! SOLD
