This is a wonderful colorful painting of a chestnut Arabian horse with a big blaze on an exotic little head! The detail is exquisite, and the background warm and mellow. The colors are perhaps brighter and more vivd in person. The highlighting on his coat is like a brand new penny! I painted this painting thinking of the horses people love to notice, the one's with a dramtic face, big eye and lots of white! I used oils paints on a 12x16" professional grade canvas panel that is archive quality and acid free. I used no photo for this painting, another horse of my imagination! I call it 'Turning Heads' not only is his head turned, but I hoped to make your head turn too! I chose this position as it offers a wonderful view of this Arabian's exotic head and shows the flaring nostrils on his velvety soft nose... His flaxen mane and tail fall in cascades around him, framing him in his own beauty. My personal favorite realistic painting. This one remains in my collection untill sold. It is framed and matted now.
