When a friend loaned me the photo to do this piece I wanted to enhance the wax-like look that tulips naturally have, and was pleasantly surprised when experimenting with various effects and multiple layers in Studio Artist.

I was able to come up with something that not only showcases the waxy quality but also created a metallic 3 dimensional embossed patina. It was more than I bargained for, but I liked the effect and decided to go with it. The background was digitally painted to complement the foreground along with overall color enhancement for richness and saturation. The original image is included for comparison.
