I love drawing sunflowers and thought to move forward into painting them. I decided to paint them more in darker hues as the sun is losing light across a hill where I live and lights firey oranges and reds on everything at that time of day. It is difficult to capture in a painting- and as I enjoy a slightly abstract- leave it to your imagination- type of work, this is my effort to show these sunflowers in sunset light.
