This is my very first sunflower painting ever! Numerous times I have stood in front of my canvas with sunflower reference photos and an honest intention to paint them. However, before I set to work, I analyze the sunflower's shapes in all their complexity and then suddenly, I'm intimidated and abandon the project. This show gave me the opportunity to see the project through and overcome my fear of painting the sunflower! This is an original painting on canvas stretched over a solid wood frame.
