Sunflowers have always been one of my favorite floral painting subjects.
The brightness and color variations of the petals,
the play of shadows and light - I find them endlessly fascinating
and paintable without ever getting bored.
I am very fond of this painting - it remains in my own collection.
It is matted to 20 x 24 on 300 lb watercolor paper.
