The beautiful iris is Tennessee's state flower. There is something very sensual about the iris and those voluptuous buds with feminine, lacy petals that open into folds of flowering velvet. This one captured my attention, with the center petals standing tall, and the outer petals gracefully hanging down. It was taken here in Portland as I was walking past someone's garden.
This was taken using my Canon T-70 and a polarizing lens. There are no special effects added.
