The little forest gnome has taken refuge from the spring raindrops beneath a cluster of emerging snowdrops. Hopefully it will be only a short cloudburst and he will be on his way in no time. Gnomes are very helpful caring little folk who take care of many of the needs of the animals and plants in the forest. They don't like to be noticed too much by humans so you will be lucky to spot one. So keep your eye out and tread lightly, you never know what you may see if you look closely at your woodland surroundings. This piece was done on Bristol smooth heavyweight cardstock with prismacolor pencils and ink.
