This is how Poinsettias grow naturally in southern California. This painitng was based on a photo I took from my apartment in San Diego. This painting was created by painting a watercolor image on a plexiglass sheet. The image was then transferred to printmaking paper with a press. Monotypes are one-of-a-kind prints. There are no multiple copies made in the process of creation as would be the case of etchings or other types of Fine Art prints. This is high quality art, using professional quality watercolors on acid free, 100% cotton printmaking paper.
