This painting was completed for a Wet Canvas, online art community, challenge to paint the irises from a photo reference in the style of Vincent Van Gogh. I also signed this piece (using my nickname) in the style that Van Gogh would sign his paintings - i.e. simply 'Vincent'

It was a fun challenge and learning experience regarding van Gogh's palette choices. This painting continues around the sides on gallery-wrapped canvas & is coated with protective satin varnish. Therefore, it needs no frame for a lovely contemporary look. This piece is available at my Etsy shoppe.
