One of my Mother's Day gifts was a new set of oils, so of course anxious to paint, I thought another painting of some ferns would be fun, focusing on the Mushroom sitting in a mossy undertoe of ferns, with garden spiders and wildflowers, I used also my feather brushes and my oil palette knife, leaving several spots thicker than others, I have not used oil in about 30 years, I forgot how easily the brush glides on the canvas and how smooth the texture is, it was very soothing to paint, except I forgot oils do not mix with water, so my brushes and plate will have to wait till tomorrow for cleaning.....ooops...
