
The original fuchsia cosmos was brilliant in its own right, but I wanted to give it an added dimension and unique quality.
First the image was run through vector graphics software, then gradient lighting was added overall for depth and texture. Then In PS several squares were selected and a drop shadow applied followed by a blending step to achieve the final result. It almost looks like a jigsaw puzzle or mosaic tiles.
The original photograph is also shown followed by a second photo illustrating the stage one processing.
A rainbow array of cosmos filled the deck boxes one summer, but this one, all by itself in a corner, stood out as supreme.
