No molds or presses are used in any of my doll or sculpture art. I'm a self taught multi media artist and this is one of my art doll creations. The Story: One Eyed Esther and her One Eyed Cat, Odin, may be looking for you! Esther is the ultimate cat lover ~ last count, she had over 150! Odin is her favorite kitty, named after the one eyed Norse god. The two of them travel the country side every night looking for 'good people' such as yourself. Esther carries two vials of magickal potion in her basket, which Odin proudly guards. One is yellow (for good people), the other is purple (for not so good people). If Esther meets you and likes you, she sprinkles a bit of the 'good people' potion on you and you turn into a cat. If she doesn't like you, she sprinkles the 'not so good people' potion on you and you turn into a can of cat food... or (gasp) kitty litter ~ as she's in constant need of both of these items. Of course, Esther only has one good eye. And she happens to be color blind. So, it's in your best interest to avoid her at all costs! The Details: Esther's head, hands and feet as well as kitty Odin are sculpted of poylmer clay, painted, and antiqued to look aged. She has the classic Halloween Witch hooked nose and an eerie pallor. Her single eye, and Odin's as well, are glass. Her second eye which is 80% closed is also glass. Esther's hair is black Tibetan lamb. Her body is a wire armature wrapped with fabric and then dressed in handmade garments from prim cotton fabrics. Her legs bend and although her hands are permantly attached to the basket, you can move her arms up and down as her arms are also flexible wire. She was created to sit on her own however you can stand her straight and lean her against an object if you wish. Esther wears a lovely outfit of mismatched prim fabrics trimmed with various fibers. She has an czech glass black cat belt buckle at her waist which you can see in the 3rd photo below. Her shaw is removeable and matches her very modest bloomers. Her clothes are not removeable. Her permanently attached hat is black felt accented with German glass glitter. Odin is permanetly adhered to the basket (as he tends to wander, you know) but you can remove the glass vials if you wish. They are accompanied by a grungy prim story tag. Signed and dated on the bottom of her shoes. She measures 12" tall when standing from the top of her hat to the bottom of her shoes. The tole box she leans/sits on is not part of the doll. Esther and Odin now live with a cat loving family!
