Art: The Celebrity (SOLD) by Artist Jason Metzinger
Ah, the celebrity. Fame and fortune heaped upon them by what society deems as quality entertainment. Because of their fame they often think that they are qualified to speak on social and political issues. They mold culture, set fashion trends, and always push the envelope.

Painted in the flux style, rough and raw, "The Celebrity" is an attempt by the artist at satire, to poke fun at the recent Janet Jackson halftime event. As celebrities often do, they ignore what the bulk of the population holds dear and aggressively push their own agenda upon it. All the apologies, explanations, and talk aside, may we expect to see an increase in this singer's sales this year?

The painting names what the artist truly believes this and other attempts like it really is "OFFENSE FOR A LACK OF CONTENT." When the content of the art is junk, the artist must go for shock value!
