Letters, numbers, punctuation; all things that we are familiar with. What happens when we free them from the printed page? What happens when they become part of something other than purely verbal communication?
Whether it is an altered book, collage, an illuminated manuscript or other type of expression, this show explores how letters and symbols can be incorporated into art.
To provide context for the viewer, artists must include supporting text for each piece entered explaining how the piece works within the theme.
