Art: Disciple of Discipline by Artist Cynthia Gaub
Inspiration/ Meaning: These pieces were created as part of the Saving Face series. I wanted to focus on the personality and emotional expression of the face. This piece was made as I struggled with adding self-discipline to my life.

Creation: Mixed Media Paper & Glass Collage; This piece was created with layers of handmade papers, maps, Japanese Comic book, and book pages applied to glass. Completed in June 2002. Available for purchase.

Other Information: Words have always been an central part of my artwork. Many of my pieces are inspired by a word or a phrase. In this pieces the text says, " It is good for a man to bear the yoke form youth. Let him sit alone in silence. If it is heavy on him there my yet be hope."
