I hate to admit at how easily this one was done but to be totally honest I did it in a fit of rage that no one seemed to want to buy my more realistic looking work at the time lol. To my amazement it actually sold too!
I've had to get over a lot of pet peeves since the beginning.
If anybody wants to know how this was done the secret is very simple. I simply took a premade texture pict of chrome and then used the clone brush to copy it over and over again al across the page. Then I messed with the color and lighting to turn it gold.
Simple huh. I guess I just got lucky with this one. The cool thing about abstracts verses my normal "snap shot" style is that I have no idea what I'm doing. I just take something and play and play and play until it's either something so abhorrent that I trash it or in the case of this little diddy here I'm suddenly surprised to see something I never planned on but created by accident lol.
The reason why I ended up keeping this one was the fact that if one looks at for a minute you can start to see what looks like a wall of melting gold faces. That made it just weird enough for me to keep and try to sell.
