I created this in May of 2004 for my painting class. The work was displayed in the JCC Art Show for two weeks. I like to think of it as my "Dr. Seuss" piece because I feel like it was influenced by the artwork of his books. "Surfing Mirth" is a gestural abstraction started from an idea and created to satisfy balance, beauty, and depth.
