The piece was create using all non-traditional techniques. The only time a brush was used was to fling the paint across the canvas to create the ocean waves. The paint was poured on, flung, transferred with newspaper, blotted, and splattered. When I started the painting, I wasn't sure which direction it would take. Soon, I saw an image of an ocean wave crashing onto a cliff.
