This original painting "Red Dress" is painted in high quality-color watercolors on smooth mylar. Both sides of the mylar are smooth and it is semi-transparent, mounted at the top edge to white board. I've been experimenting with mylar and watercolor in class and found watercolor very exciting on mylar, the watercolor is workable over any period of dry time and colors flow smoothly into eachother, and painting it on the mylar keep the watercolor's color from fading and dulling as it does once it soaks into paper, made with quality materials made to last for a very very long time. This painting is very dramatic and romantic, the darkened girl in a dark world but her beauitful long dress a vibrant red, the color of life and love.
