To me "scintillating" goes with conversation and jewelry. Perhaps because I've heard many a conversation turn to what was being described as a "scintillating" piece of jewelry on display in a jewelry exhibition that I have attended. And perhaps, a designer whose work in rings and wrist cuffs are truly dazzling pieces, may have subliminally inspired me to create my own "scintillating" representation.
Imagine this brilliant stone juxtaposed between two geometric elements as a design for a large ring or wrist cuff fit for a queen, so scintillating that it could have attracted Cleopatra's eye to become a favorite piece in her treasure trove.
This was an exploration into the world of shapes and forms. The abstract digital painting evolved while working on relating the triangles to the oval center with bright, saturated and contrasting colors. The triangles suddenly "popped" and became three dimensional forms in space. The forms, created in Studio Artist, were then subjected to color touchup, changes and warps. They were further manipulated to render the "jewel" juxtaposed between the triangular forms, then more color, edges and texture were added to enhance the over all jewel-like quality.
