I am so in awe of everything I saw and experienced on my recent vacation. This was painted from one of my favorite days in Colorado Springs at the Garden of the Gods. It was later in the day and there were people setting up their tripods for a shot of these red rocks. I thought to myself this is one of the many pictures I will be painting—the clouds were perfect and the lighting was incredible. i had so much fun with the loose brushwork in this painting.
