We live in a rural area in a home we built ourselves. From time to time as we began work on the next project on the home, we would have construction waste, including lumber. To dispose of this lumber, we would start a fire on a propitious day. This shot was taken on one of these occasions. As I perused the fiery images I was impressed by the shapes of the flames first. Upon closer examination I found beautiful jagged shapes within the fire, the remains of discarded lumber.
