Art: Original Horse of Early 1700's Fine Art Print by Artist Michele Diane Bruce-Carter
Motivation: Ive been hung up on Louis the XIV and the palace in Versailles....hence the statue style of art lately.. =) Grey reminded me of the statues Ive been researching in art history called 'The Age of Extravagance' Although to me the figures seem empty eyed and devoid of humanity..theres a kind of strength and majesty in those smooth greys. The 2nd piece I added to 'Grey"is a nude loosely based on a statue at the NYC Metropolitan Museum. The original painting was painted in metallic gold and looked somewhat like it was marbled. I loved it-then it sold a couple yrs ago on eBay. So i thought id run it through my photo editing software to give it a feeling I was wanting to share today. Hope you like. Thanks for looking.
