This is Hugo, a drawing I did for a friend in memorial of his recently passed companion. To me, its important to be able to completely capture a character or personality completely in shades of gray because it is timeless. I'm a fan of color, it is good for recreating a specific moment in time. Achromatic art, however, is the best way to capture the overall feeling and character of a subject, human or animal.
