my first of 2009 - "Anglerfish Submarine" -one of my favourites I've painted to date (Matt's too). Some of you may have noticed my fascination with deep-sea abyssal sea creatures, as well as steampunk theming, and this painting combines them both. A beautiful violet eyed girl sits within the interior of an elaborate submarine which looks all the world like a clockwork anglerfish. Okay, it's kind of an odd painting, but there is something very striking and magical about it. 24"x18" original acrylic painting on masonite.
