Art: Mechanical Angel I by Artist Jasmine Ann Becket-Griffith
"Mechanical Angel I"! This also is definitely one of my best paintings to date, there is a phenomenal amount of detail in this one! This is the FIRST in a new series - an Steampunk series - the new series is called "Mechanical Angels" (and this one is the first in the series - all will be different but feature simialr clockwork/gothic themes). This first painting - "Mechanical Angel I" features a gorgeous big eyed angel girl - quite doll-like - with wings right out of Da Vinci's notebook, and a plethora of clockwork gears and scientific implements around her. She even has a glowing butterfly in some sort of stasis container. This piece looks even prettier in person - the "glowing" blue-green lights almost do seem to glow amongst the subtle coluration of the mechanics -and it is HUGE - it truly can be the focus of any room. 24"x18" original acrylic on masonite.
