"Crossed" started as kind of an experiment. She is based on a piece I did in a life drawing class that I held onto for years because something about the shape of her arms against her body really intrigued me. I finally decided to turn her into a painting but I actually was thinking more of a tapestry while I was creating her and I tried to work a kind of fabric quality into the painting.
