"1982". This self portrait is in my "Faces in the Crowd" series. This piece refers to when I was in High School - punk music had reached Ridgefield, Washington, and I was a part of it... These paintings have a lot of the white canvas showing through - much of the painting is hand rubbed. The roughness of the application is intended to create a raw feeling.
