Art: A Pullip Venus by Artist Noelle Hunt

Venus is the 5 th in my series of Pullip Doll portraits. She was inspired by the Jun Planning Pullip Dolls “Venus” doll. I was trying to capture the beauty Queen feeling of the doll. I've always felt Venus best attribute was her sparkling eyes!

My process for these paintings is fairly simple. I own the dolls so I pose them and photograph them. After they are photographed I take the image into Photoshop and adjust the colours and cropping till I reach the desired effect. I then print out a copy of the image and use it as my model for the paintings.

These vintage things inspire my work, go through my mental filter and emerge, reshaped in a modern style. It reflects not only my inspiration but also my personality...delightfully unpretentious.
