Commission Information

This artist accepts work by commission. Read below for details.

Studio Zeuxis ~ LA Hollins ~z

~ abstract expression ~

 ~ primitive ~ distressed ~ impasto ~

I would be honored to consider commissioned worx ~ however, it is hard to carve out enough time these days ~

Collectorz who are  familar with the distressed rawness and impasto qualities of my work requiring longer curing periods are invited to inquire ~

ABSTRACT = art that does not represent recognizable objects; reduction of natural surface appearances to radically simplified elements or forms; construction of art objects from non-representational forms

1/2 payment in advance (via PayPal) would be required for 16" x 20" gallery wrapped pieces or larger starting at $200 (not including shipping and insurance). Upon completion, I would forward electronic images for acceptance and final payment (via PayPal) prior to shipping.

As always, if you are not pleased with a piece upon receipt, you may return it immediately within the week for a full refund. In turn, I would reserve all rights to sell, exhibit or auction such piece in the future. It is my sincerest intent for you to be satisfied in your investment. My work is very personal and it is important to me that you respect and enjoy each piece you procure.

If you are interested in a commissioned piece, please email me and attach 2-3 electronic images of the subject you would like to capture. Please submit only images that you would like considered. The painting will be created in the technique and style of figurative abstract expression using oil and palette knife exclusively.

From your images, i may be inspired to paint only certain body areas expanded to canvas, unusual positions, movement, torsos, back views, silhouettes ~ sitting, standing, resting, laying down, sleeping, gardening, flying, floating ...

Primarily high quality oils, canvas & palette knife exclusively in combining heavy impasto waves, slashing knifework, delicate scrolling & swirling strokes. Broken glass or old coins are sometimes incorporated into pieces. No thinners or drying mediums as I feel they dull the colorz & flatten or glaze out the texture; so pieces can take several months to cure.
