Super Mario 64, have to love it. I think it was the last
time I was truly in awe of a game. Every step was magic. It really did
look like art. At the time I didn't think games could look any better. I
keep looking for that feeling. But until then I can paint what I miss.
This is my latest painting entitled, "Super Mario Soixante Forur" its
French for Super Mario Sixty Four. I thought it would be fitting as it
is painted in a classic French impressionism kind of way. I love
impressionism, I think it is my favorite style of painting. This is the
scene out side the castle. I remember swimming around, the castle, under
the bridge, it sounds so simplistic but at the time it was awesome. This is on actual canvas (the same kind that I
paint the original paintings on) I then go and hands paint all the little
details. This is as close to the original painting as you can get, it’s just beautiful. Now you can enjoy this painting the way it
was meant to be seen, with all of the texture and shines from the actual paint.
Even the little light effects work. I encourage to experiment with light when
displaying this piece. Different
amounts
of light casts different feeling in the picture. Play around with it,
you’ll
see what I mean. Each print may vary slightly, as each brush stroke and
frame may vary from print to print. Then I sign, date, and number each
print .
COMES FRAMED AND READY TO HANG.
Thanks again for your continued interest, Josh.
