Its the forth year at Hogwarts and Sirius Black is in hiding. Harry has to communicate with Sirius and let him know whats going on at Hogwarts. Harry sends his owl Hedwig on the long journey to Sirius with the hope that the letters don't get seen by anyone especially the Ministry of Magic.
