Dedicated to Blondie II, our sweet little yellow dog whose spirit brightened our lives. Sometimes the most simplest things can be the greatest treasures ever. Artists's Notes : The colors of the scanned image differ slightly. I took a photo to show that the flowers are much more of a vibrant pink. The face is modeled after women of the 30's when those cupid shaped lips were popular. I just love that classic doll face look. It also makes for a very classic art nouveau style. The butterfly is a Cleopatra. I chose it for it's simplicity and bright color. There is a hidden Pisces symbol in the ripples of the water at the bottom of the painting. I am a Pisces so it is special to me. This piece took many hours over a 3 month period and I had to work through many difficulties along the way. That is part of the reason why my reserve is so high. Plus, I stand by my work and believe that it is worth it.
