I started this piece in autumn, but was not able to finish it until now because my baby boy was born! Inspired by the changing season, I wanted to paint some beautiful fall flowers - dahlias. Kimonos add such a nice touch, the whimsy swirls represent the cold winds that fall brings. Well, spring is almost here and hopefully I will have more paintings soon! If I ever find time, my son is keeping me very busy ;-)
