Artist's notes : The mermaid's tail is similar to a the Hawaiian bicolor basslet fish. I chose hibiscus flowers because they are the Hawaiian state flower. There are also Hawaiian sunset vines hanging in the palm trees. There is metallic pearl white in the ocean so it shimmers in the light. The original is being reserved for my children so ONLY limited edition prints will be available for sale. I rarely keep originals, but my daughter fell in love with the rainbow tail.
