For some reason, I began acquiring stamps a few years ago. I don't have many as I am not a stamp collector, but loved the little minature pieces of art many of the stamps hold.

I took a class in 2005 with Ellen Blakeley at the Institute of Mosaic Art in Oakland. One of her techniques uses images under glass, which I have incorporated into this miniature mixed media mosaic (say that fast three times.) Marilyn is surrounded by gold and handpainted porcelain china mounted on a wood panel.
