I made this mirror frame for my mother who had an art niche above her fireplace to fill. She loves the cobalt blue glass, Delft Blue Pottery as well as Llandro ceramics. I thought this would go nicely with her things. She had a beveled mirror placed into the frame.

I used handmade ceramic corners to cap the end of these. Other materials used: blueberry blue tile from Home Depot; Blue Willow pattern china; faux pearls, cobalt blue marbles; buttos, hand painted porcelain and Vintage Catholic medals.

I had an adventure with the grout on this one. I ended up grouting twice - even then the grout wouldn't behave. I painted gold streaks through the grout to hide part of my sins.
