We just bought a house in the woods on five acres. Any window I look out has fantastic views of the surrounding forest. Which I find very inspiring, and soothing. I have a studio on our property and ironically the one place where all the inspiration comes to life has the most uninspiring view. It reveals some of the ugly necessities for living out where we do. A dull gray satellite dish, since cable isn’t available here. A fence to keep my 3 dogs from roaming around and getting lost in the woods. Last and but not least a hand truck for hauling water back and forth to my studio.
